2026 Holiday Tour of Homes

December 11 & 12, 2026

Celebrate the Holidays, Southport Style!

One of Southport’s favorite holiday traditions returns this December! The Southport Historical Society and Downtown Southport, Inc. invite you to enjoy beautifully decorated homes and the distinctive charm, character, and history of our coastal community.

This year, there are two ways to enjoy the tour: a new guided walking experience on Friday and our traditional self-guided tour on Saturday.

Tour Details & Tickets

Choose Your Tour

Friday, December 11 — NEW! Guided Walking Tour

$75 per ticket

Gather at 1:00 p.m.  |  Tour 1:30–5:00 p.m.  |  Reception 5:00–5:30 p.m.  |  200 tickets total

Visit all ten participating properties — nine beautifully decorated Southport homes and a historic church — on a guided walking tour. Guests will gather at 1:00 p.m. and be divided into groups of approximately 20, each accompanied by a tour leader. Scheduled visits allow guests to enjoy the properties without waiting in long lines.

Please consider the physical demands before purchasing: the route covers approximately two miles and requires participants to walk or stand throughout the 3½-hour tour, keep pace with their group, and move between properties on schedule. There are no opportunities to sit and rest during the tour, and golf carts are not permitted.

Friday guests do not need to pick up tickets in advance. Their private check-in location and instructions will be provided with the purchase confirmation; tickets are issued at check-in.

Saturday, December 12 — Traditional Self-Guided Tour

$35 per ticket

11:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.  |  1,000 tickets total

Enjoy our traditional Holiday Tour of Homes at your own pace. Visit nine decorated homes and a historic church, choosing your own route and schedule during tour hours. Discover the homes’ architecture, stories, and festive touches as you explore Southport.

Saturday tickets must be picked up by the purchaser before beginning the tour. Pickup details appear below.

The Old Brunswick County Jail Museum will also be open and decorated for Christmas on Saturday from 11:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Friday Reception

After the tour, enjoy a reception from 5:00 to 5:30 p.m. with light refreshments, live music by Jabbertown Jazz Junction, and a drawing for the holiday wreath featured on the cover of the 2026 Holiday Home Tour Keepsake Booklet. Each Friday guest receives one complimentary raffle ticket.

A Sneak Peek at This Year’s Homes

From traditional Southport cottages to contemporary residences, this year’s tour celebrates the variety of homes that make our community special.

We are grateful to the homeowners and church community who generously open their doors for this holiday tradition.
