Armchair History Virtual Tour – Fort Johnston Museum

Tour multiple exhibits in Fort Johnston Southport Museum and Visitor Center with Bob Surridge, President of the Southport Historical Society. See the artwork of Southport in the 50s and 60s by Southport artist Art Newton and models of Southport landmarks created by Lew Hardee, Jr. Plus, look for your favorite treats of the past at the Fullwood grocery store, and thrill to the exploits of Civil War river pilot C. C. Morse
Special guest: Alexander Patterson, writer and director of “Blockade Runners of the Cape Fear”, winner of the Southeast Regional National History Day Competition.
