Southport Storyteller with Mike Royal “The Old Man”

Mike Royal was born and raised in Southport, NC. His family goes back generations to Captain Charlie Swan, keeper of the Bald Head Lighthouse. Each month Mike as he looks back on his childhood in Southport during the 1950s and 60s. You’ll learn about Southport of a different time, and most likely be reminded of your own wonder years.
Join Mike as he shares an original short story of an old man that finds himself seated at a local popular restaurant but sees the scene through his childhood eyes as the old working shrimp house it once was. Monday, October 19, 7 pm. Simulcast on Zoom and Facebook live.
