July 29 – Crimes of the Heart House (Northrup House) w/Eleanor Rankin
In the 1980s, the Northrup House was selected to be the scene of the family home in the movie Crimes of the Heart with Sissy Spacek and Diane Keaton. It’s been known as the Crimes of the Heart house ever since. Twelve year old Eleanor Rankin was chosen to play the role of Diane Keaton when she was a little girl. Eleanor will be joining us to share pictures and stories from the movie set. In addition we’ll have some photos of the inside of this iconic Southport home. There may even be a ghost story or two!
